Family Photograph Restoration

I am prepared to receive old photographs of Thompson family members, for scanning and restoring, for which there is a charge. The original photo will be returned to you together with an electronic enhanced version at a size which will enable enlargement to approximately A3 size. Prints can also be provided.

The photograph to the left is an example. I don't know precisely when it was taken but my great great great grandfather Matthew Thompson was born in 1816 and died in 1864, so it was before 1864.

It has been scanned to just over 2000 x 3000 pixels and cleaned of obvious blemishes, dust etc. so that it can be printed to a reasonable size with reasonable quality. If you click on the photo, you will be able to see it at its full size, complete with the original texture of the paper onto which it was printed. The original photograph was approximately 4 inches high.
